Hello and a warm welcome to Year 1 & 2 for the 2026 to 2027 school year!

I am the class teacher, Mrs O'Leary. I work with Ms Rashid and Mrs Davenport to help your children learn and thrive.

We're absolutely thrilled to embark on this exciting journey of learning together with our wonderful Year 1 and Year 2 children. In our vibrant and language-rich classroom, we focus on developing independent readers, writers, and mathematicians.

Our space is not just a classroom; it's a bridge between EYFS and KS1, inviting curiosity and exploration every day. With beautiful views over the school orchard and fields where rabbits, deer, and even the occasional frog come to visit, our classroom is a perfect backdrop for all sorts of adventures.

We can't wait for the year ahead filled with joy, discovery, and lots of learning. Thank you for being a part of our community—let's make it a fantastic year together!

Things to note this half term:

• PE kit should be worn on our allocated day (I will share this via ClassDojo). No earrings or jewellery on this day please.
• Please ensure that all uniform is labelled clearly so that any misplaced items can be found.
• Healthy snacks may be brought into school for morning break and bottles of water are welcome to keep us hydrated during the day.
• Reading records and reading books should be in school every day, please read together as often as you can.
• Look out for visits, events and parent workshop announcements on ClassDojo, alongside general reminders and updates.
